Beetroot Academy has launched a partnership with Pink Programming to supply a course and teachers in web development in February next year. The two female teachers, who are from Ukraine, are today working with Beetroot as developers.
Beetroot Academy has previously educated more than 2000 students, spread across 16 schools in Ukraine. Now, the ambition is to help Pink Programming in their largest initiative to date – a 16 weeks long web development course for 20 women and non-binary people.
“There is a shortage of developers and teachers in programming in Sweden, which means we have to look around for alternative solutions. This is something we will probably see much more of in the future. We also felt that we were a particularly good match with Pink Programming. We share a lot of values, and they work in a similar way in Sweden as we do in Ukraine.”
